The standard model footstraps attach firmly to the board, and can be positioned at virtually any angle by the rider. Footstraps are not required to ride the dirtsurfers, in fact, you can get by pretty well without them on smooth downhill runs (like riding a skateboard) but don't attempt any jumps or hard carving on rough terrain without them!
